My home town "BALASORE" is one and only of its kind. It is the city with full of dreams. Its in Orissa which is in the eastern part of India.
| Balasore is known to the world for its missile testing
centre which is called ITR (Interim Test Range). All types of missiles of India
are tested from here :- like Agni, Prithivi, Trisul, Nag, Akash, etc. The place
where ITR is situated is known as chandipur.

It is also the commercial confluence of the three states; no wonder why industrialisation has been so rapid with Corporates like Ispat Alloys, Birla Tyres, Emami, IOC & BPCL setting up their manufacturing plants here. The upcoming Dhamra port a mega engineering project will change the face of Balasore forever, bringing job opportunities and prosperity to the people.

Although it is a small city but it is very advanced in Educational fields. The burning example is the presence of the Degree Engineering Colleges, Engineering schools and College For Management Studies. The greatest poets & novelist of Orissa are from this beautiful small city. |

Chandipur : The swaying casurina trees and the shimmering waters at the sea side resort have made Chandipur a favorite haunt for a small caterie of beach lovers. It gives water revelers the ultimate pleaser of walking into its shallow depths with fearless abandon. |

Chandabali : Chandabali is a famous river port since medieval time. Being situated on the bank of Baitarani it has a direct inlet to the sea. The tourist can enjoy boat journy to Aradi, Dhamara and specially Bhitarakanika by river route from Chandabali. The land on sea front is capped with mangrooves where sisty three species are found out of seventy two srecies are identified in the world.
Chandaneswar & Talasari Beach : The holy shrine of lord Chandaneswar and its unique sight attract the devotees to flock together everyday. A cool ride of 3Kms. towards the Bay of Bengal can view sandy beach at Talasari, pleasantly surrounded by casuarrine grooves further refreshes the visitor mind. A jeep drive along the beach (8Kms.) from Talasari to Digha (West Bengal) is an added wounderful experience.

Aradi : A beauty spot on the banl of
river Baitatani the sacred Gangaes of Orissa. Aradi is famous for housing
the shrine of Lord Akhandalamani (Shiva).
Panchalingeswar : Panchalingswar is situated on hillock surrounded by green forest. A perennial stream flows on the five Lingams. The place commands a panoramic view of nature and ideal for the picnickers. |
Road : The Chennai bound N.H.No.5 linking Calcutta - Cuttack - Bhubaneswar - Berhampur abd Visakhapatunam runs along BALASORE.
Rail : Balasore is the rail head on Howrah - Chennai rail line.
Air : Bhubaneswar is the nearest airport : 215 Kms. Dum Dum airport Calcutta is about 260Kms. Indian Airlines has flights to Bhubaneswar from all over the Country.
